Hi,

I am working with WFC3/IR images and I would like to know what is the best combination
of bits for the parameters drip_sep_bits and final_bits.
Thank you !

Hi, it depends on how many input frames you have and if you have dithered data. In general, without a dither to step over the IR 'blobs', we recommend setting both parameters to 576 which tells AstroDrizzle to treat 512 flags (blobs in flat) and 64 (warm pixels) as good pixels. If you do have a blob dither, you want the 512 flags to be rejected, so you could set both parameters to 64. It's always good to check the drizzled weight images and blink with the drizzled science image to verify that there are no regions with zero weight corresponding to the sources you are trying to measure.
